British Flintlock Sea Service Pistol, ca. 1780
Arsenal shortened 9" round sighted barrel of approximately .60 cal., view
and proof marks at the breech. Unmarked flat beveled lock with stepped tail.
Walnut full stock with inspector’s stamps (some bruising and small cracks,
commensurate with age and use). Brass trigger guard, sideplate, ramrod
thimble, and butt cap. Replaced brass-tipped wood ramrod. Barrel and lock
with some pitting. Overall length 16 1/4".
