On June 26th, 2009 Congressman Heath Shuler ignored the wishes of the overwhelming majority of his constituents and voted for the largest tax increase in US history,
directly breaking the promise he had made only days earlier to "vote the wishes of his constituency".
Remember the names and remember the faces of

and voted for the Cap and Trade bill (HR2454) to raise the cost of everything you buy because they care more about their political agenda and special interests than they do about what’s best for the citizens of North Carolina.
These six representatives for the state of North Carolina voted to raise the price of energy to the consumer and businesses.
Your household energy bills will increase. It will cost you more to turn on a light switch, cook for your family, heat your home and cool your home.

It will cost you more to buy gas so that you can drive your car to work to support your family

It will cost your employer more to run their business; consequently your employer will have to find ways to cut costs and that could mean that even more NC jobs will be lost in an already shaky economy.

All businesses need energy to produce their services and goods; the increased cost of energy will be transferred to the consumer (you) in the form of a price increase for everything you need to buy: food, clothing and shelter.
Remember their names and remember their faces so that you know who to blame when you find it increasingly harder to earn a decent living and take care of your family due to the rising cost of everything. And when the time comes,
Vote Them All Out of Office
so that we, the people of North Carolina, can have Representatives that are concerned first for the citizens of this state and not their political agendas and special interest groups.

Join us on July 17th for a protest in front of Shuler's Asheville office at 4:00 pm
This protest is being spearheaded by the activist group FreedomWorks. We will have some people on Biltmore Avenue at the intersection leading up to his office.
Another group will be in the parking lot. Others will actually
go into his office to speak about our opposition to the Health Care bill as well
as Cap and Trade.
