English Flintlock Boxlock Pistol, ca. 1810
Screw-off 2 ˝" barrel of approx. .45 cal. Boxlock of typical London form
with two worn escutcheons, the reverse with maker’s name. Appears to be
“Hurst”, who was a London gunmaker in the early 1800's. London view and
proof marks on underside of barrel. Flat scrolled one-piece walnut grips
with silver wire decoration on top and both sides. Retains approx. 75% of
the silver wire. Hammer doesn’t hold on cock. Worn overall, but little
pitting.
