Large example featuring wood grip covered entirely in embossed silver alloy; featuring foliage and butterflies. Slightly curved 30 1/4" single-edged blade etched and inscribed with figures in ethnic garb and writing on hashed background, covered with a gold wash. Wood scabbard entirely covered with silver alloy sheets and embossed ensuite; single carrying ring. This example, the largest we have encountered, likely dates from the mid-20th Century. Very decorative and impressive piece; overall length just over 45" (not including scabbard).
