Intricately designed cast brass boat hilt with classical decoration featuring shells and foliage, retaining 95% of its original gilding. Slender hexagonal-section 31" blade, blued with gold-filled engravings over the upper half, marked "Leine/Frutile" on both sides at the forte. Blade with numerous tiny edge nicks, but in beautiful condition with most of its blued and gilt decoration remaining. A beautiful and elaborate gilt smallsword in near excellent condition. Overall length 37 1/8".
