Brass hilt with lionhead pommel with integral backstrap; featuring simulated ruby and emerald eyes. P-shaped knuckleguard and double langets; one with a stand of arms, the other with a vacant shield. Small reverse quillon in the shape of a lionhead. Checkered grip with twisted silver and brass wire. Slender gently curved 32" single-edged blade with single fuller, etched over its upper half with foliage and military motifs. Etching heavily worn and blade lightly pitted with a few patches of heavier pitting, probably from storage in a leather scabbard (no longer present). Overall length 37 1/2".
