Unmarked solid silver hilt with symmetrical double shell guard, decorated ensuite with spiral fluting and acanthus leaves (repair at base of knucklebow). Undecorated 27 3/8" colichemarde blade, heavily pitted, probably from long storage in a leather scabbard. Overall length 33 3/4". With the absence of hallmarks this sword was possibly made in Colonial America.
