Description

Showing great age, these pliers are of hand-forged iron, approximately 15″ long, with
jaws fashioned as a crocodile head with smooth underside. Strict adherence to the rules
of Inquisition forbade the shedding of blood during torture, so these lacked sharp teeth
and were often used heated to red hot to inflict agony on accused witches or other
prisoners to extract confessions. They were used as breast pinchers, tongue or genital
removal, or to inflict unimaginable agony to any soft body flesh. Obtained from a large
criminal justice collection in Karlsruhe, Germany.
