Description
Featuring blackened iron hilt formed of round bars, comprising lobed reverse quillon and two asymmetrical side rings, each filled with a pierced iron plate; knuckle bow and side bar, each connecting to the spherical pommel and with a diagonal bar joining the two; thumb ring on reverse. Grip with coarse twisted brass wire wrap and ferrules top and bottom. Curved 27” single-edged blade, double-edged for the last 8”, with broad single fuller extending from the guard and transitioning to two deep narrow fullers; the upper third with etched foliate decoration. Very good condition, the blade with light pitting and wear to the etching. Overall length 32 3/4”.
