Description
Early mempo (face guard), ca. 1600, lacking nose piece; the four neck plates present but detached. Kabuto (helmet), ca. 1800, with five neck plates and gold painted horns. Do (cuirass), ca. 1800, composed of seven plates front and eight plates back; painted mon on center breast (possibly later). Both breast and back are signed in red. Five kusazuri (tassets) of four plates each; the center front kusazuri lacking. Original silk lacing (worn, with losses). Original lacquer (chips missing and some crackling).
