Description
Of iron construction, with one-piece hemspherical skull formed with 32 flutes. Long tail
formed of 5 lames riveted together. Cheek pieces with heart cut-outs. Rather than the
typical hanging ring on top, this example features a stylized spike. Very good condition, the
metal re-blackened, with minor finish loss, later nasal bar, and replaced leather (as typically
found). Possibly Eastern European.
