Made from an empty British brass 18 pounder shell casing, the base stamped “18
PR/II/11316/B.A./M.A.C./2141/1916″. Decoration comprising applied colored brass badge
with flags of Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, and France topped with a separate
applied red-painted brass Canadian Maple Leaf. Presentation engraved
“PRESENTED/TO/MR A. F. ROACH/18 POUNDER CARTRIDGE CASE/MADE BY/THE
MONTREAL AMMUNITION CO/FIOR/THE USE OF THE BRITISH FORCES IN
FRANCE/1915″. Intact primer not showing a mark from a firing pin. Overall height 11
