Untouched condition spike ax tomahawk with original wood haft. Featuring hand-forged 7
3/4″ long double-eared iron head; mounted on original 14 1/2″ hand-hewn haft. This rare
early spike ax is in excellent condition for its age. Probably Iroquois Federation. From the
Jim Dressler Collection. Pictured in “Who’s Who In Indian Relics, No. 8″, page180 and
“Who’s Who In Indian Relics, No. 10″, page 291. Jim Dressler had one of the most
admired collections of American Indian artifacts in the United States and was a good
friend to Tom Richards.
