Description
Featuring two large nearly symmetrical side rings, each filled with a pierced plate; fluted
quillon block with pas d’ane and quillons with fluted acorn-shaped finials. Elongated fluted
ovoid pommel with small button; grip with later twisted iron wire wrap finished with Turks
heads top and bottom. Unmarked hollow-ground triangular-section 32 1/4″ blade. Metal
cleaned and light pitting on blade. Overall length 39 ½”. Well-balanced early rapier at a
bargain price!
