Description
Straight 29 1/4″ single-edged with short broad fuller near the hilt and two narrow fullers
extending to within 3″ of the double-edged point; faded decorative etching on both sides
with saber hand, scrolling foliage and motto “Soli deo Gloria”. Chiseled steel half hilt
featuring single reverse scroll quillon, ovoid side ring filled with a smooth plate, and
knucklebow attached to the writhen ball pommel with small button; all chiseled ensuite with
diagonal fluting handle; grip with several sizes of twisted and straight copper wire wrap and
Turk’s heads. Overall length 34 3/4″. Metal cleaned; the blade with wear and light pitting.
