Description
Boxlock with top sliding safety, marked “HOLMES” inside a cartouche on one side and
“LIVERPOOL” inside a cartouche on the other; proof marks stamped on the underside of
the frame. Round 2 3/8″ screw-off smoothbore barrel of approximately 11mm bore.
One-piece walnut slab grip. Henry Holmes of Liverpool was active from around 1800 to
1850. Very good condition with wear typical of age and use. Dark patina to wood and
metal. Overall length 6 3/4″.
