Description
Cast in one piece, this solid bronze dagger features a 9″ double-edged blade of lens
section. There is no guard, but the integrally cast grip is bordered and designed to accept
bone, horn, or wood slab grips. Integral crescent-shaped pommel. The rivets are still in
place, which would have secured the grip slabs, long since decayed. Very good condition
with dark brown patina and greenish shades showing, primarily in the recesses. Overall
length 13 3/8″. From a British collection formed in the 1990’s. Includes Certificate of
authenticity from a London antique art gallery.
