Description
Early flintlock musket with unmarked banana-shaped lock plate with rounded edges.
Tapered round 40 3/4″ barrel of approximately .69 caliber with front bead sight. Figured
walnut stock with some worming and a repair to the comb; brass mounts including a butt
plate engraved with stand of arms, flat side plate, long trigger guard, and three barrel
bands with sling swivels. Original trumpet-shaped steel ramrod. Rich patina to wood
and brass. Overall length 55 ½”.
