Description
Two-stage round 14 1/4″ brass barrel with turned decoration at the muzzle, marked
“LONDON” at the breech. Flat lock plate with line border and engraved foliage, stamped
“W. LONDON”. William London had a shop in London and was active from about 1825-
1840. Walnut full stock with brass mounts; including ramrod thimbles, vacant wrist
escutcheon, butt plate, side plate, and trigger guard; the latter three with acorn, shell,
and floral engraving. Brass-tipped wood ramrod. Very good condition with some dents
and scratches in the stock, commensurate with age and use. Light surface rust on the
lock. Overall length 30″.
