Description
Featuring round, smooth bore 2 1/2” screw-off barrel of .44 caliber. Box lock flintlock mechanism with sliding top safety; left side engraved with the maker’s name, “Theop’s Richards” (Theophilus Richards, London and Birmingham, ca. 1790-1830) in script, the other with decoration featuring crossed flags. Birmingham proof marks on the underside of the frame; engraved trigger guard. One-piece walnut slab grips. Overall length 7”. Metal parts with scattered pitting, markings sharp and clear, grips very good plus.
