Featuring small concave axe head with birds heads and down-turned rear beak; etched
with scrolling foliage and stands of arms at the junction. 9″ leaf-shaped blade etched with
scrolling foliage. Integral conical ferrule; mounted on later painted hardwood shaft.
Etching sharp and clear with only minor wear; metal with scattered light pitting. Length of
metal 14 1/8″, overall 80 1/4″. Halberds of this type were often carried by the color guard
and used to defend a regiment’s honor at any cost. Price includes shipping in the
