Description
Axe blade with angled straight 10″ cutting edge with a cross-shaped piercing; angled rear
beak with pierced cross. Thickened armor-piercing 15″ diamond-section thrusting spike
flattened as it approaches the axe blade and deeply struck with a maker’s mark. Long
integrally forged side straps; mounted on later octagonal haft. Metal showing great age
with pitting, dark patina, and a few shallow edge nicks to the axe blade. Length of metal
48″, overall 71″. Price includes shipping in the contiguous USA, the cost of which has
