Description
Hand forged, featuring 26″ diamond-section thrusting spike; 7 1/4″ angled concave axe
blade pierced with a stylized cross and a pair of trefoils; down-curved rear beak with
pierced trefoil. Integrally forged long langets and a pair of additional langets front and rear
with rectangular reinforcing band; mounted on rectangular-section hardwood shaft with
molded corners, probably the original (some losses to wood). Metal shows lamination with
minor separations and pitting. Length of metal 55 1/4″, overall length 90 ½”. Price
includes domestic US shipping in custom wood crate.
