Description
Fighting halberd with angled slightly convex axe blade; thick angled rear beak with deeply
stamped maker’s mark. Thick 12 ½” thrusting spike with thickened armor-piercing point.
Long integrally forged side straps inset into a mortised section of a worm-eaten wood
shaft, likely the original, with later piece scarfed on to complete its full length of 79/12″.
Metal parts partially cleaned and smooth, with remains of a nearly black patina, primarily
on the side straps. Length of metal 42 1/4″. Price includes crating and shipping in the
Continental US.
