Description
Hand forged, featuring 25″ diamond-section thrusting spike; slightly can 7″ concave axe
blade punched with round holes in a rosette pattern and two additional sets of three holes;
down-curved rear beak with three punched round holes. Long integrally forged langets
with a pair of additional separate langets on the front and rear of shaft, secured with a
narrow iron band and mounted on a later rectangular arsenal-made hardwood shaft with
arsenal marks on both sides. Metal with light pitting (heavier on ferrule and langets) and
showing lamination. Length of metal 49 1/4″, overall length 89 1/2″. Price includes
