Description
Brass hilt featuring single heart-shaped side ring filled with an embossed plate of foliate design; down-turned reverse quillon; knuckle bow and side bar each with central double knob joined with a diagonal bar and attached to the lion head pommel. Brass grip with diagonal flutes on one side. Curved 31 5/8″ blade with long single fuller and spear point, engraved on both sides with stands of arms. Hilt with minor defects and small brazed repair to quillon. Blade with pitting and wear to engraving, showing lamination and several shallow edge nicks. Overall length 37″
