Description
Showing a strong Islamic influence in design this cartridge box is formed of heavy sheet
brass incised with arabesque motif and overlaid with pierced nickel silver plate in Islamic
architectural style; the reverse with applied central silver medallion. Hinged domed brass
lid decorated ensuite with reeded silver border. Decorative fittings at the side with loops to
accept a cord or strap; thick braided textile cord attached. Dimensions: 4 1/8″ high by 4
7/8″ wide by 1″ deep.
