Description
Featuring slender 31 3/8″ hollow-ground triangular-section blade engraved with foliage,
scroll work, and a difficult to read inscription. Cut steel hilt featuring reverse quillon with
scroll finial and pas d’ane attached to the oval guard which is pierced and chiseled.
Knucklebow with central oval decoration surrounded by three open rings on each side
connected to the ovoid pommel which features a faceted central oval panel with round
brass center and pierced decoration on the sides; the fine original grip wrapped with
alternating single strand and twisted steel wire wrap and Turks heads top and bottom.
Overall length 37 ½”. Hilt is near excellent, blade showing wear and light pitting.
