Description
Based on the Imperial Russian M1881 Shashka, this sword features slightly curved 32″
blade with broad single fuller and Persian characters on the ricasso (showing abrasions
from cleaning). Brass D-guard with ring-shaped quillon, connected to the brass Phrygian
pommel. Pommel with Persian characters matching the blade. Grooved wood handle.
Original black-painted steel scabbard with single carrying ring, marked with Persian
characters on the throat and drag. Overall length 37 ½”, not including scabbard.
