Description
Featuring brass hilt, comprising short, straight quillons with dog-head finials; downcurved shell guard with stag head in relief; quillon block with stag on one side and hunting dog and the other. Simulated stag grip depicting a hunter in period garb with boar spear and a boar, topped with a brass capstan pommel. Broad single-edged 23” (58.4 cm) blade with wide full-length fuller, the upper third engraved with foliage, hunting horn, and game animals. The hilt and grip near mint; blade with some scratches and a few small areas of light pitting; tip slightly blunted. No scabbard. Overall length 28 1/2” (72.4 cm).
