Description
Featuring slightly curved 32 3/4” (83 cm) single-edged blade with 3/4-length fuller, the ricasso stamped “WMW/WAFFEN” (hidden behind langet). Brass hilt with P-guard, single scroll quillon, and langets with spread-wing eagle on one side and vacant escutcheon on the other. Dove-head pommel with integral backstrap with riveted ears, decorated with oak leaves in relief. Black one-piece Bakelite grip with twisted aluminum wire and brass base ferrule decorated with oak leaves. Original black-painted scabbard with single carry ring. Blade with light pin-prick pitting, hilt very good plus with traces of brass polish in recesses. The scabbard dent free, with numerous small scratches and chips to the paint. Overall length 37 3/4” (88 cm).
