Description
Made from a cut-down US 5 inch Mark V 38 caliber naval artillery shell casing (as used as primary armament on US destroyers and secondary armament on battleships), with edges flared and a centrally mounted inert 20 mm antiaircraft round. Base stamped with manufacturer and US Navy arsenal markings and the date “4 1944”. Silver presentation plate inscribed “LIEUT. DAN J. HURT” screwed to the side. Height 7 1/2”, diameter 6 1/2”, weight 5 pounds 10 ounces. Price includes US domestic shipping, which accounts for a large portion of the price.
