Description
Steel hilt featuring two side rings, each filled with a plate depicting chiseled cameos
surrounded by pierced intertwined foliate decoration; pas d’ane and short horizontally
recurved quillons with acorn finials extending from the tapering lightly engraved quillon
block. Spherical pommel with button, chiseled and pierced with classical foliate decoration;
wood grip with alternating single strand and twisted iron wire wrap (small repair at base of
grip). Double-edged 29 1/4″ diamond-section blade (lightly pitted with age staining).
Overall length 36 5/8″.
