Description
Made in the late Victorian Era, this dagger features sail guard with roped edge; Green Man
face and acanthus decoration in relief (two small rust-throughs). Straight 9 ½” twisted
quillons with expanded finials. Spirally fluted bun-shaped pommel with button; grip with
two sizes of twisted iron wire wrap. Asymmetrical partially serrated 14″ blade with large
flat ricasso pierced with two large holes and featuring thumb depression on reverse.
Dull brown age patina. Movement in grip and guard. Overall length 20 1/4″.
