Hand forged iron with belt loop featuring cut geometric edge sculpting and cross hatching
on the front surface. Integral round-section bar for suspending scabbard with acorn finial.
Fits 2″ belt. Shows quality hand work and considerable age. These old sword hangers
are rarely found. Overall length 4 ½”, width 1 15/16″, extends 2″ from back of belt loop.
Possibly of Middle Eastern manufacture

One-piece iron with triangular belt loop pierced with geometric shapes and inlaid with
brass dots and a central brass boss. Extending from the bottom of the triangle is a turned
baluster with looping bar for suspending a scabbard with central pierced rectangle and
fluted acorn finial. Shows quality hand forging and dark age patina. Overall length 3 7/8″,
width 1 7/8″, extends 2″ from the back of belt loop. Possibly of Middle Eastern
manufacture. Fits 1 ½” wide belt.
