Description
Hand forged, socketed steel lance head, 13 1/4″ long, 1 1/2″ wide. Uncleaned, museum
quality, showing use and age patina Plains Indians would ride along side buffalos and
pierce their belly with this type of lance causing them to bleed slowly to death and in this
manner they would not stampede the herd and fall down one at a time. At recent
auctions, comparable lances have sold for $6,000 to $8,000. From the famous
