Classic fighting spike ax of the Iroquois Federation. Original untouched example featuring
a 10 inch hand-forged head with elliptical eye; original handle showing incised lines and
inactive worm holes. This French and Indian Wars era tomahawk was from the famous
Robert Wheeler Collection. Mr. Wheeler was a renowned author and expert on
Revolutionary War weaponry. His white identification number “LX” is still on the head.
Total length 17 1/4″. Spiked tomahawks with original handles are extremely rare. A
favorite weapon among the Iroquois tribes made for only one purpose- killing.
