Description

Each featuring octagonal 4″ barrels of 15 mm caliber with front bead sight, silver lined vent,
and inlaid silver band at breech; engraved barrel tang with notch rear sight. Attached
swivel ramrods. Flat lock plates with beveled edges engraved with sunburst and “H.
NOCK” (Henry Nock, 1741-1804, Gunmaker to His Majesty King George III); swan-neck
cocks. Disabled sliding safeties. Walnut full stocks with checkered grips, vacant silver
wrist escutcheon, and oval silver barrel pin surrounds. Steel trigger guard with pineapple
finial and engraved with floral decor. Overall length 8 3/8″. Very good original condition
with scattered light pitting to steel parts and stock showing light wear and handling
marks commensurate with age and use. Henry Nock was one of England’s finest and
best-known gunsmiths.
