Description
Broad curved 29″ single-edged blade with a stepped, double-edged point and a pair of long
fullers, and an additional short fuller on the ricasso, plus a long narrow one at the back
edge. Blade cleaned, smooth, and showing lamination. Iron hilt of round-section bars with
recurved quillons ending in acorn finials, guard plate curved upwards with four
heart-shaped openings in a 4-leaf clover pattern and a bar extending to join the
knucklebow; diagonal reverse quillon and thumb ring. Spherical pommel with large button;
grip with later twisted iron wire wrap and Turk’s heads. Overall length 35″. Light pitting and
age patina.
