Description
Iron hilt with long straight quillons, twisted toward the ends and ending with clover-shaped finials. Large triangular sail-shaped guard with outward-curved rolled edges and chiseled and pierced floral decoration; bun-shaped pommel with button. Grip with twisted brass wire wrap and Turks heads top and bottom. Straight 14” (356 mm) single-edged blade featuring large flat ricasso with a design of stamped circles and a pair of downward-facing curls to entrap an opponent’s blade; the reverse with thumb depression. Scattered pitting and rust patination. Overall length 18 5/8” (473 mm). Looks better in person than in the photos.
