Description
Featuring slender 10 1/4″ triangular-section blade showing great age, pitting, and
lamination. Steel hilt of typical form with small round disc guard and larger round disc
pommel with button, incised with concentric geometric pattern top and bottom and line
border on top (worn). Bone grip with longitudinal flutes bordered by incised lines and
finished with brass ferrules top and bottom (top ferrule with break). Overall length 14 3/8″.
Scarce early dagger made solely for thrusting a fatal blow.
