Made by F.W.Holler of Solingen, the 10 1/4″ double-edged blade with crisp acid-etched
thermometer logo and “F.W. HOLLER SOLINGEN” maker mark in an oval; the crossgrain
visible from the hilt to tip. The tip comes to a sharp point and fits the scabbard tightly.
Blade about excellent, just showing the commonly seen runner marks from the scabbard.
Brown leather buffer pad fully intact. Nickel-silver plated alloy crossguard with spread-
winged eagle and swastika in a wreath clutched by its talons. The pommel and grip ferrule
are beautifully detailed with oak leaves and acorns. White celluloid grip with no chips or
cracks. Non-ferrous nickel-silver plated scabbard with twin carry rings; some tarnish, but no
dents or defects. Scabbard with random pebbling and oak leaves and acorns decorating
the carry bands. Original single throat retaining screw remains intact. Overall a very nice
complete and original dagger in very good+ to excellent condition.
