Description
Four-piece skull with raised ribs at the junction of the panels; the panels etched with
scrolling foliage. Wide brim with roped edge etched with a band of foliage en suite.
Unusual attached blade-shaped extension at the forward medial joint etched en suite.
Hinged cheek pieces with roped scalloped edges etched en suite. Interior with brown
paint (losses and wear) and hand-painted “#7″ on underside of brim. Shows some age
and minor corrosion, but undoubtedly of 20th C manufacture.
