Description
Made in 1915 to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo, this sword features a cast one-
piece solid brass hilt with stirrup guard, rooster pommel, and single langet with a wreathed
“N” for Napoleon on each side. The rooster is an ancient symbol of France. Curved
single-edged 29″ blade, the last 7″ double-edged, stamped “1915″ over a “K” in a circle.
Overall length 34″. Early example of a commemorative sword, now itself over 100 years
old.
