Description
Hand-forged angular iron axe blade with long integrally forged round-section stud mortised
into the shaft and secured with twisted iron wire. Head is 12 1/4″ long and extends 5 1/4″
from the shaft. Curved 35 ½” hardwood shaft. Unique example in very good condition.
Possibly a British soldier’s bring-back from the Zulu Wars.
