Description
Symmetrical blackened iron hilt formed of flattened diamond-section bars featuring
straight expanded quillons with button finials, diagonal side rings, and large looping bars
joining the knucklebow with scroll finial. Spiral grip with twisted copper wire wrap and
turks heads top and bottom; faceted ovoid pommel with button. Single-edged 33″ blade
stamped with a maker’s mark on one side and with two shallow, narrow fullers at the back
edge; the last 11″ double-edged. Blade cleaned with light pitting and shallow edge nicks.
Attractive sword with good weight and balance. Overall length 39″.
