Description
Beautiful hilt featuring flat silver quillons chiseled in acanthus decor; one-piece horn grip
with strands of diagonal twisted silver wire (one strand missing on reverse), interspersed
with silver four-leaf clover shaped appliques. Silver pommel cap with detailed three
dimensional thistle finial. Triangular section 7″ blade tapering to a very sharp point
(light pitting and age staining). Horn scabbard with double incised line border and silver
mounts; the top mount with incised triangle with sun and stars; carry ring on reverse.
Overall length 11 1/8″, not including scabbard.
