Description
Iron hilt comprising large side ring with double knot in the center and filled with a plate
embossed with a grotesque mask; knuckle bow with central double knot and screwed to
the inverted conical-shaped pommel. Thumb ring on reverse and reverse quillon
intentionally shortened. Wood grip with gold textile covering to simulate brass wire.
Double-edged 31 1/4″ blade of lens section with lightly engraved decoration and script
wording on the upper third (worn). Overall length 36″. Typical munitions grade sword
commonly used by troops of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
