Description
Fine quality forged steel construction with a pair of stamped maker’s marks on the top of
the cocking lever, one inlaid with brass. Lots of artistic features to the metalwork, such as
folding trigger guard with turned decoration, shell-shaped cocking lever knob, turned and
chiseled front sight posts, decorative turned and chiseled folding rear sight, chiseled
rosette buttons, chiseled acanthus decor, turned baluster trigger, and pierced heart-
shaped fore-end finial. Faceted walnut butt stock with finger grooves on the underside
and bone inlays of crown over a vacant shield on the obverse face. Very good condition
with pleasing age patina to wood and metal. Overall length 26 ½” with 21 ½” spring steel
bow.
