Description
Featuring slightly curved 33” (83.8 cm) single-edged blade with ¾ length single fuller; the ricasso with Eickhorn of Solingen Squirrel mark. Gilt brass hilt with P-guard, reverse scroll quillon, and langets with spread-wing eagle on the obverse and vacant escutcheon bordered with oak leaves and acorns. Black Bakelite grip with base ferrule, wrapped with alternating twisted and single-strand brass wire. Lion head pommel with simulated ruby eyes and integral backstrap with ears, decorated with oak leaves. Original black-painted scabbard with single carry ring. Blade with light pin-prick pitting, hilt very good plus and retaining approximately 80% of its original gilding. Scabbard with one small dent, retaining approximately 75% original paint, the balance with brown rust patina. Overall length 38” (96.5 cm).
